This list of best drummers of all time includes top drummers of today along with the greatest drummers of past decades.
Its very sad to know that Drummers get the least amount of attention and even smaller amount of the credit than they actually deserve. People pour all their love and affection to the lead guitarist and vocalist but behind all those musical instruments and stage setup sit the most hard working man in the band – The Drummer.
Drummers are the spine of the band or any singer. Beatles would be no Beatles if there was no Ringo Starr. The popularity of Ringo jokes tells how negligible people are for Drummers. Bruce Springsteen would not have been such great legend if there was Max Weinberg. Nirvana is often considered great band due to Kurt Cobain but lets not forget the contribution of Dave grohl who actually made the band great.
There are dozens of examples of how a great drummer lead the band to the path of success. Songs like “Hey You” by Pink Floydd, “Holiday” by Scorpions, “In the Air Tonight” by Phil Collins, “Livin on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi are some of the finest examples of Drum Songs.
Here we have chosen 100 greatest drummers of all time. Your opinion on the list may vary so feel free to tell us about your favorite drummers in the comment section.
